Westex (Gibraltar) Ltd was formed in April 1991. Recognising a need for an electrical wholesale outlet in Gibraltar, servicing the local market and the expatriate market along the southern coast of Spain.
In 2003, Westex (Gibraltar) Ltd obtained an extension to its trading licence to include retail customers, which led to the expansion of our operation into the domestic market for lighting, DIY electric tools and other aspects related to electrical supplies. Not to mention our top-quality seasonal decorations!
Since our formation we have developed a strong and consistent client base of approx. 60 companies and many regular domestic household customers. We intend to continue our established development programme, taking account of new products and upcoming markets, which has seen Westex (Gibraltar) Ltd, grow into a sound and established business.
All companies working in conjunction with the construction industry have a shared responsibility for our environment.
Our industry is a major user of the earth’s resources – and our operations may affect local communities and their day-to-day lives. The buildings and infrastructure projects we supply with our products, become part of the landscape – an everyday reminder of this fact. In a very real way, we are affecting the future environment in which everyone will live and work.
We take this responsibility very seriously. Caring for the environment has been part of our culture for many years – and we always endeavour to act in line with environmental principals. We will co-operate fully with all authorities to achieve the necessary requirements.
